Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. The role she played brought her an Emmy nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category. She also received two SAG Awards, both for exceptional performances in an ensemble cast in a comedy.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna's mom Anne used to perform in dramas at church as a child which sparked an enthusiasm for theatre.
Fischer is an actor with theater training. In Off-Broadway's play Reasons to Be Happy written by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was the lead. In the following play, she was a part of Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's debut world premiere.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's closest friend from real life and Fischer launched the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf on October, 2019. The podcast quickly became popular. Every week, it was within the Top Ten in global downloads, with over 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life was her first book, which chronicles the road she took starting in St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood, where she became an actor professionally. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her most beloved friend and their experience working in The Office.
