My baby crawled around inside a playpen, while I was working 12-hour shifts in sanding floors as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! Growing Days was created in the home. The business wasn't just expanding, but so was my sweet family too. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own company and be a good mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. My precious Nora came into the world in 2013 and was our fourth baby. My business was going well however I needed a break. I decided to stop working on my antique furniture for a while and be at home with the children. This was just what I was looking for. But after a couple of months without a phone, it began to call. A lot of people contacted me to ask for advice regarding home improvements and decor. Most of them visited my home at my open house for furniture. The time flew by before I had a fully-fledged home renovation company. I began by taking clients with a speed I could be confident in. It is likely that I'd have laughed had I had been told that the business was going to be the premise of an upcoming television show in the DIY Network. In fact, I do amused when I think of it.
